CastLock ensures that the opened bail stays locked in the correct position during the cast. The second is Auto Cast II where, under the tension from a loaded spod you simply engage the button on the underside of the reel and the rotor will turn and stop at the perfect position for line pick up and bail opening. Taking its pedigree from the Tournament reels before it our designers have integrated an improved BR mechanism with a spool stroke the same size as the TS5000T but at a more compact range of spool diameters.

The BR system continues to employ our positive and safer 'pull back' lever with the tension adjuster easily accessible at the rear. Easily capable of retrieving up to 89cm per handle turn the Linears eat distance and ooze power thanks to one of the lowest gear ratios we have ever applied to a reel.

And for those who know, Daiwa's front drag systems deliver. The Linear range combine six washers, some Teflon impregnated, with a coil spring and micro adjustment to ensure you have direct and accurate control.
